Well there is the Belle Toute lighthouse a few miles further along the coast near Eastbourne. But you can't see it from the Brighton section of the coast.
The little coast path I used is so cool. Its a paved cycle track/footpath at sea level, with the cliff (100 to 200ft+) running immediately on the other side of the track. No one seems to know that its there and whenever I walk along it (even in high summer) I have it practically to myself

So how was your day?
I spent this evening writing this http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A661150.
What do you reckon?

Thin cloud below a mackerel sky. The sun penetrating through to reflect off of a pale grey sea, sparkling like silver. A gentle and soft swell to the waves and more ripples from the breeze....
God, I love my lunch time walks by the sea

I would love to spend more time by the sea. Mind you the baseline is pretty low at the moment
My linchtinmes comprose of a quick dash to the canteen and then a take away salad!
Its sounds like you have had a beautiful day today.
There have been a couple of lovely sun rises recently. I leave home in the dark and get to watch them unfolding in my rear view mirror. A gentle creep of colour and light just add the sea and it would be the business!

I go down to the seaside every lunchtime. My routine is one of two sandwich shops or a couple of the local pubs. All can be reached by taking a 100 yard diversion onto the seafront and then 100 yards back. I guess some jobs do have their intangible benefits

Busy. I've had a lot of meetings over at the Children's Hospital this week. We are currently putting together a list of the cost pressures that the Directorate is facing, plus all the developments we need/want to put in place for next year. So far its £2million and counting ie not a prayer, given that the budget is only £16million all told. I expect we'll get some as there is a real pressure in Paediatrics nationwide at the moment and the Government is final being forced to put more money in. I'm hoping for about £500k.

Sounds like a really difficult thing to have to deal with
While the commercial world has its faults we seldom have to deal with dilema's like that ...
Will the 500K help much?

*returns from the RL pub*
Evening I took the day off today. I needed to do some Christmas shopping and I can't face doing it on a Saturday.
I also had a bit of fun here setting some new stuff up. My space has been tidied up a bit and now links all over the shop! I also had a little experiment with the tag, which seems successful. Still no joy with ACE page though.
