Well you would have got the e-mail from the aceforum announcing the SETI blobs. I think they've done some editing to it as it was playing up earlier on today, it couldn't work out whether it was a square or rectangular tag.
The bit of today's efforts I'm most pleased with is the songs page (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A665336) not just because it allows me to be shouty in the guide, but because I learned some really good coding lessons in setting it up. Try looking at under "test page" conditions

I saw the mails but had not seen the blobs themselves ...
Oh I missed the songs page ...

In the browser window,
for a page *Axxxxxx* replace the "A" with "test"
for a page *Uxxxxxx* replace the "U" with "testuserpage"
hit return

its merely a process of experimentation, looking at sources, asking questions and running off and trying again

Well you're using and tags that I haven't touched yet. My policy has been to find someone's page that I like the look of, test it, and rip the code for my own purposes. The *Goo fanclub* box was originally taken from st.broelan's page, until Ottox said that it was his. So I changed the credits.
One nice benefit from all this, for my *next* resume I can probably bulls**t that I have a "knowledge of HTML/XTML coding protocols" - thats right I can make a move right to left across a page

Ottox helped me when my links stopped working!
I did my space in a similar way - copied something that worked and just changed a few bits ...
Are you going to look for a new job then?

Well hopefully not. The second phase of disciplinary thing is next Monday. Since the first part I've had one only day off work (due this time to a dodgy burger, not migraine - and a work colleague saw me eat it so I should be in the clear.)
All I was saying was that I have learnt a new skill here. And extended it further today

Don't worry things are cool. Its a process. If you have someone whoose had 20+ incidents of sickness (almost all migraine and almost all 1 day long) in just one year. Your *personnel policies* have just got to grind into action.
In the first interview with HR, my boss spent 90% of his time saying how much he wanted to support me - and he meant it. But that such an absence record could not continue - and he's right. I've been pretty much migraine free in the last month and when I have had a problem the *drugs DO work* (shameless Verve plug )
I'll chat next week about the full outcome

OK I can understand that - you know where to find me but it all sounds OK
* thinks about putting the Verve CD on but really should go to bed as otherwise she will get ill ... *
Hope to catch up with you before next week

Sure we will. Only problem is my Mother is arriving back here tomorrow (well, technically today) before she flies off back to the Americas . So my on-line time is going to be limited for a few days.
If s**t should hit fan, I'll be in touch directly (help, help <whimper>. If it doesn't, I'll see you as and when

Hiya,
This is a flying visit. I've set her watching TV for a bit, so I've got maybe 45 minutes to run around here and do other on-line stuff. She leaves Tuesday morning, so expect a heavy GD presence that evening

GD!
Sorry I missed you I hope its is going OK.
I have had a good weekend as I have been here lots and I have not spoken to my mother!
She sent me an email asking what I want for Christmas. I am very tempted to say excommunication from the family but so far I have resisted!
Leaves lots of 's for GD
* goes to try and clear her diary for Tuesday evening *

The weekend was OK. I've sorted presents for her and her husband (books and a repeat subscription to the Gaurdian Weekly). And she has sorted presents for me (new duvet cover from Habitat (which will go well with the new duvet cover from Habitat that I had last year )). I've even been given a present idea for my Grandma - so that's wonderful news!!
someone has just come back in so communication shut down imminant
