Actually, if it's a suitable alternative to being woken up by Serephina's kiddo or her post-smoking cough, I might be tempted to check out the bachelor pad.

Which would leave space for B'Elana at Serephina's.

Form an orderly queue please!
Final decision won't be made until after a date is decided on, as various other promises have already been made...

Excelsior is driving up, leaving his car on the outskirts and we're tubing in, if anyone lives between Hampshire and London (Around the M27/M3) we may be able to give them a lift home

I'm a little tempted! I've so far only managed 3 meet ups, 10 000 miles away in Oz And that's true, I went there last year for 3 months. I managed to not get on with one really long standing hootoo pal on a second meet; we're friends again now we're back on line. I got ridiculously drunk on the 3rd meet up and upset a shorter acquaintance. We still avoid one another on hootoo. And at the first meet in Sydney I had an absolutely brilliant time with quite a few people and I don't think I upset anyone!
So I'm feeling really scared of RL intruding, and probably everyone else is feeling a bit scared of me intruding on them. Seriously, I am a friendly and civilised in person; it's just the idea of hootoo and real life coming together strikes me as a bit freaky. It all seemed so unreal (in a good way) being in Oz, so far from home, it seemed less scary. So I'll think about it. Because it would be really easy for me to get to that pub from where I live.
I'd be grateful though if other people could say how meeting IRL is? Or maybe it's just me being totally neurotic?

Yes, it can be a bit weird, especially if you go on your own for the first time. I nearly turned around and left the first one I went to after 1 pint...but decided not to. What happened thereafter - well, I'll save that for another time. Anyway, strong and lasting friendships can be made between weird folk of t'internet, aye, that be true.
Don't know why I suddenly started talking like a then...

Are you sure you couldn't meet me B'Elana? I'm sorry I feel so nervous about the whole thing I don't think I'm thinking straight. Must remind myself it's over 2 months away, plenty of time to change my mind about 50X
Maybe I should creep into the pub incognito, work out where the hootooers are. Listen to the banter, and then pow, announce myself, REDPECKHAMTHEGRATEPOMPOMWITHKNOBSON! As I sometimes perform poetry in London, I could maybe do an impromptu performance! Christ! what am I saying?
Key: Complain about this post
