Uh, okay, we can scratch the catalogueing fee. But that will up the fee-calculation fee. And besides, WE had them all catalogued - they just got mixed up when they were delivered. Which doesn't matter much to us, since Ampton can date them by the dust on them (which explains the dusting fee). Anyway, as for a cost comparison, they come out almost the same. The only difference is you don't get the free Weird Al video if you rent. Other than that, renting is 42 cents cheaper.

*FACE leans in to whisper to The Masque*

*Places the tape in his VCR, presses some buttons, and it begins to play. The (by now all too) familiar scenes of the CLI Brig are represented on the screen*

[Dylan] I meant I wanted to see Weird Al.

*The tape finishes playing. He pops it out of the VCR, then pops another tape out of another VCR just below it. He pops the second tape into the top VCR, presses play, and voila, it's the same tape!*

Hmmm... Now, Gary, how much did you say that was going to cost me to buy this tape?

[Dylan] .....

Ah, I see you found the copy feature on the decoder ring. Handy, isn't it? Good thing that the copies are only half the price of the originals. Of course, you must own the original first.

Um, what's 1.5 times astronomical?

[Dylan] I think "astronomical" works the same way that radicals do, and you just smack the coefficients nest to the "astronomical" symbol until you're done with everything else.

How about this? You let me use the tape for free, and I edit out the sequence where you and Affy moon the prisoners?

[Dylan] [eagerly] I'll go with that!

It's got the mooning on it? Man, that's a rare one, a collectors item. I'm going to have to recalculate the price now.

[Dylan] Well, that answers the question of who was under duress.

Fine, fine. Charge it to this card:

*Holds out Special Edition STUMPED Super Platinum Card*

Since I'm an agent of the court, I get to charge it to the STUMPED treasury, rather than my own account. Ultimately, KL gets the bill.

[Dylan] Okay, that changes the answer a bit ...

*Takes card and disappears for a few minutes. Comes back grinning hugely *

If I know KL, when he sees that charge, he'll... well, never mind.

So, I guess we're done here. You have your tape, and we have your money. I'll just take the decoder ring back, since I only charged you for the tapes.

*Bursts out laughing*

Only! Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

FACE-If I know KL, he'll just rob a bank somewhere to pay for it, make a little cash on the side.

And still deduct it from the Masque's pay.
