Obviously your keyboard is in revolt - at least the 'a' key seems to be wandering arounf a little. (hnad gestures and adn)
You have failed to metion the ability to clear ones nasal passages without the use of a handkerchief, also the merits of crowd surfing, but hey the last entry I read was on Cliff now this - is there a link ?

We wish it were.
Bearing in mind that this A-number is a few thousand in retrospect, it's definitely UH's fault that spellings haven't been cleared up.

A couple of weeks ago I marked this one in my little book as AGG material
I wouldn't say it's E.G. stuff in its present form, being somewhat too unconventional and showing too much of a bias between the lines.

Hi Uncle Heavy,
A Scout has recommended this for the Edited Guide, but I just wanted to check back with you that you're happy for it to go ahead as it is.

Excellent read - very funny - but too biased for the EG at present! I know that sounds dull but believe me, the reson we have the 'facts only' rule for EG entries is that it's the best way we've found for separating solid researchable information (stuff in the EG) and all the other sorts of stuff (the Guide as a whole). And that's not to knock the Guide as a whole. There's plenty of excellent stuff there. Indeed, anyone can find this entry on a general search. And undoubtedly be brightened up when they read it. But we're talking about the Edited Guide here. So, how do we to get a copy of this entry into the Edited Guide. How can it meet the 'facts-only' criteria of the EG and not appear to be an albeit hilarious rant. Mmmmm... we can call it a 'Cynic's Guide to...'? But I think it still needs more facts. Can you jemmy in some more info that would balance what is essentilally an opinion piece?
I'm sure the artists you indirectly lambast think that there music is very serious and not just a tool for making pots of cash. So too the fans waving their devil's horns in the air. Dude.
Gimme some juicy factual info and lets see if we can get this in.

well im a notorious perfectionist when it comes to my own work - it hurts me inside to see any of it changed. if you genuinely believe that with work it will be worth going into the EG (which i dont - someone put me up to this), i cn change it. but i dont actually know very much juicy information about forming nu metal bands.

You can always take A615269 out of PR and make a copy of it (therefore keeping 'How To Form A Nu Metal Band' forever unchanged). The copy you can then call something different ('A Cynic's Guide to...') and then submit that to the Writing Workshop saying that you need a bit of help with the factual side of things. You see, your writing style is ace. If we can find a way of getting well-written stuff in the EG we will! And even if we can't get this in - A615269 will remain unchanged and forever searchable.

I agree with Sam, this is a rant rather than an article and it's too generic to really stand as a guide to the Nu-Metal genre. You might want to look up other entries in the EG on other genres that send them up to get an idea or even research a few actual bands and their members to back up what you're saying about the music and its fans in your article.
What you have is very amusing and mostly true, but at the moment it's just general comments on a form of music that you evidently find highly unpalletable from your own point of view. Believe me there are facts that would add much humour and validity to your arguments.
And calling it "A Cynic's Guide to Creating a Nu-Metal Band" would give you some intellectual comeback when you inevitably get the more juvenile attacks from actual fans of the genre.
I'd recommend that you look at bands such as Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and Spliknot for good examples of manufactured and formulaic Nu-Metal ensembles formed with a group of strategically shaved apes.

Uncle Heavy,
Nylarthotep's comments above are spot on (and are probably clearer than mine were).
Site some real-life examples of nu-metal bands to objectify your very *subjective* (although finely-written) piece. Maybe talk more about the genre of nu-metal but from this more objective view-point. Where does the genre fit in with other genres of music? Where did it come from? Nirvana and the commercial acceptance of grunge? Heavy metal? Who are the big cheeses of nu-metal?
