Don't give me any clues, 'bell, 'cause I want to see for myself, when I can...

Dagnabbit Muskie! The Treasury of Geriatric Erotica just bought the granny farm.
Phew! You had me worried Amy P, I was beginning to think that it flashed up random images and I'd insulted you when one of Dubya had appeared or something.

Sorry! You had me thinking the Webcam page was flashing up random images when you first said you didn't understand, but I didn't realise you hadn't seen it.

Not Mike the Headless chicken?
Go on, give it a go. That one's safe for work. After all it has been approved.

Yeah, that's not my Subaru though, mines an Impreza P1 WRX in Classic Rally Metallic Blue with Gold alloys...well at least it would be if I owned one

It's ok, basically Wumbeevils altered all the photos so they have Amy P in them, which is clever as she now stars in more pictures than those who were actually there. He then claimed to have found another picture of Amy P which was on this random website called Magic webcam or something, anyway once Amy P's looked at it you'll understand more but the Subaru is just a random sidetrack to the conversation
Anyways, where've you been, anywhere nice or just busy?

Uh oh, not the dangerous smile...
*hides under a plain chocolate Reliant Robin that Tink wouldn't be seen near*
Never mind 2Legs, confusion is a good sign, it means you're sane. Topic Drift is the only thread I've found that seems sane to me.
The towel was last seen hitching a lift to Blackpool, where it plans to throw itself into the sea in a bid to return to its normal state.

Me busy? my MSc project has (theoretically!) got to be submitted at the beginning of October: I still haven't done the research for it yet and I have about another 40-50 pages to write as well as all of the research to do I've been at my Dads in Suffolk; to go to a friends wedding, and to get very, very highly relaxed, so, although I may be starting the project several months late, at least I will be nicely relaxed for it although, come to think of it, I really should start doing some of the stuff for it soon, I want to be finished by Christmas,
wedding was stag night was being back at Dads is know all the pubs, various mates still here, friends birthday Saturday so another excuess to stay here longer and do no work on my project::
Well how difficult can it be to write stuff and do research?
I figured pretty easy::
So, I am getting plenty of sleep, recreation (drinking and drinking), and relaxation (drinking, drinking and drinking), done now, so I can really concentrate on the project for a couple of solid weeks, Hmmm, somehow that doesn't sound such a good idea now any news on a Sprout/Turnip/parsnip yet? Goodnight

Well, I finally tried the webcam...I *did* tell you all that the sketch didn't look much like me, but it's a bit closer than *that* I know what I'm sending to all my coworkers tomorrow!

Different subject, for just a moment--(I'm asking here, since I figure either Amy or Wumbe could answer--and maybe someone else, too...)(Did that make any sense?) I've got an ad here for a scanner, and the price is very, very good. Maybe too good...for all I know it could be a hunk of junk...If I put the specs up, could someone tell me if it's even worth pursuing? I already know that it'd be compatible (that's the one spec I won't put up, as I know what it means...)
600 X 1200 dpi, 36-bit color, parallel port (that's the kind with the two little screws on each side, like for a printer, right?)...It's a Visioneer (never heard of the brand) 3300 scanner
OK, so maybe I should put this on 'Ask h2g2', but I wanted to ask here first...

I'm not familiar with that brand. If I was going to buy a new scanner I would look at the UMAX brand - because I've bought them before - and I would expect to pay about 40 quid excluding tax. But that would be for a USB one, you might have to pay a bit more for a parallel connection.
Wumbe and I are both Mac users so you might want to ask the question elsewhere to get some views on the PC drivers .
