A Conversation for Talking Point: Resolutions

Resolutions

Mystic Musician

I regualarly used to make resolutions to lose weight or give something up. Now I've come to the conclusion that life is to short to give yourself unnecessary grief. I would like to do more creative things in 2010, however, more painting, photography and creative writing as well as my musical activities. Possibly less time watching TV would help me in this!

I used to make resolutions, and when "they" failed to result, I blamed "them." I've since realized that the decision to change has to come from me, not a date on a calendar.

Life IS too short, yeah. And in any case, I've found it a lot easier, more fun and cheaper to just accept that I'm probably going to be a certain shape for a good period of time. Even if I can't picture myself in a positive light, acceptance certainly stops any feelings of guilt when eating a full english breakfast.
