Hi Serephina,
I am in a distance relationship, but the difference is now down to Staffs to Oxford, where it once was Perth (Scotland) to Perth (Australia). Now that is a long way! It started as Perth (Scotland) - Perth (Scotland) which was infinitely preferable!
I wrote this guide entry some time ago, but it's not finished and it's not quite right. I've been rightly criticised elsewhere for failing to mention the internet adequately, but it's not really part of my experience....
I've suggested that it be put forward as a whole community discussion topic for the front page, but I've yet to receive a response on that one.
A couple of top tips for you: BT Talk together (evening national calls free) and major advance booking for train tickets!
Best wishes
Otto.

Hi there,
You are so lucky to have your boyfriend in the same county. My boyfriend is currently in Kenya with his job and i havent seen him since new year .......it can be very difficult and expensive to stay in contact with each other no matter how far away your long distance love is......
At the moment we write to each other and send little things to remind us of each other. When he can get to a phone he always phones me (tells me its cheeper for him to phone). Sometimes I wish i could do more, but we are both really happy and love each other, which keeps us together.:o)
