Well, it was supposed to be a Quiksilver (as in maker of designer gear) jacket, but I agree, Quicksilver sounds cool...
Well, although it looks normal, it's got a few extras. The Nye Labs technicions made it when thier boss wasn't looking, and I just happened to be around to... extract it.
*unzips jacket and points*
It has one of those liquid restoration systems, so I don't waste water when I sweat, as I can redrink it; two inputs: water and alcohol 
.

Ammo storage, MP3 player, in-built WinXP system, central heating and air conditioning...
In other words, a completly unaverage Quiksilver jacket. It's come in very useful over the years, especially during that time on Arrakis...
