Not forgetting the red and yellow stripes.
I would also like to point out that Falkirk is terribly proud of its Wheel. Just the one mind as anything more technologically advanced can cause them trouble.

They are a bit Jaggy though and tend to get drwafed just like the Amber and Black ones which is a dying shame though Munchkin.

Tell me about this wheel thingy, then. Is it like the London Eye?

No it is a lift for boats on the Union Canal. It save muliple locks and has won a few nomination for engineering awards if not some of the awards themselves.

From personal experience, move (or not really if you like your kids) to Larbet. Tis a mere 30-45 minutes to both Glasgow and Embra by train. Lots of new Barrat housing and the like to cater for the folks who have suddenyl realised the convienence of this small viallage to both the big cities.
Several small primary schools and one great big high scool that you can get lost in (although they no longer make them cross the busiest road between classes as they pulled doen the old part of the high school for more Barret housing)
Falkirk is about 10 minutes away for your weekend pleasure of the same set of shops in a mall style setting. Oh, and the place is full of neds and there are no good pubs.
However, an amazingly large percentage of kids who go to Larbert High (which is actually in Stenhousemuir - but as these two villages are only separated by the width of the signpost telling you you have gone from one into the other)end up going to University if only to get away from the kids who don't.

Sounds like where I've ended up except this one is crawling with pubs. Not many of them are any good though because down the there are only two faiths carnival and drinking. Its also a rebel town and still has a high priportion of inbreds in that side of the railtrack. But its still got fantastic light and the air is pretty good and after 6pm the roads are pretty deserted.

There are pleny of villages and small towns in West Lothian with easy access to the M8 or M9 and with a arge shopping complex to meet most needs in Livingston.
Here endeth the lesson on behalf of the West Lothian tourist board.

Just don't go to Ayrshire. Lots of wee towns with no facilities and no work. And loads of Neds. It is commutable from Glasgow and has some half decent schools though, just nothing to do in the meantime.

That's true, Munchkin. Ayrshire isn't the most exciting part of the country..
Then again.. I like it.

Hmmm...see I quite liked Stockholm.
Based on one weekend, last Summer, when Europe was boiling, and Stockholm was a delightful 25 degrees, and I fell in love with a Swede called Mats.....
So completely objective opinion there

At least we've got a wheel. If it was in Glasgow the boats would just be sitting up on bricks.
