Well, somewhere close to town centre then? It's a heck of a lot easier for everyone to get to, especially for us non-Glasgow-dwellers.

What's wrong witht he COunting house. tis big, with real beer and food and everything. Adn cos we is just going to sit in pub in the traditional manner, we should have no problems with getting room...!

Was going to suggest the Horseshoe for something a bit different, dunno if they serve food though. Counting House I expect would be packed, so we'd have to get there early...

I was in there once, and it looked quite nice - it's a fairly traditional boozer. Mind you, this was after the group day out this summer, so the memories are a bit hazy, yer honour

I think we should sit in the pub in a non-traditional manner - one leg behind head, upside down, that kind of thing.

The Horseshoe was home of the £2.50 bar lunch back when ah were a student, so basic grub is probably available. It can get really crowded and smokey on Saturday afternoons though...
I'd vote counting house, or any one of the squillion Wetherspoons pubs that are now in Glasgow - there's that hoooge new place 'The Crystal Palace' on Jamaica Street, but I've never been in it.
