too much Olympia around here if you ask me. time the old nordic gods had a place of their own.
So if you would take an axe over a sword any day, if "Rise of the valkyries" suggests chicks on horses and not guys in helicopters, if you can hit a farmhouse with a lightning bolt from thrity thousand feet, or even if you can get from Scotland to ireland with just the help of a few stepping stones,
...this is the place for you!

*Gallops in over the Bifrost bridge on the back of Sleipnir leaving a yelling and shouting Heimdall in his wake*
No sense of humour Heimdall - probably his upbringing had something to do with it . Good idea about Asgard ..... no Frost Giants around eh ?

hi there
i haven't seen any for a while now, but then they do have a habit of looming in the mist.
typicaly there's not much here yet but the old longhouse and a small jetty. should get a bit more lively once the souls of dead warriors start pouring in.
did you bring anything to eat?

Excellent, excellent... I like the old Irish look about the place. Reminds me of my days as a Celtic Warrior...

i guess the hut does have a celtic look to it. then again, how much of the 'cletic' look was brought over by us?
you were a celtic warrior? interesting! when?

*tethers Sleipnir to a nearby tree and checks all eight hooves for stones*
So Apollo me laddo ..... tell us more about your Celtic warrior days then ?

It was during the time of invasion of the Saxons...or was it the Huns? I don't remember, but either way they were from this place called Gaul. My party fought for many years, and just as we were claiming victory they called in their back-up...some kind of Japanese warrior with a curvy sword and a funny hat. We then retreated all the way to Loch Ness, where this monster devoured them... a Yeti, we later called it. After this, we set up our camp in the middle of some large stones that resembled what could only be called a "henge". While we were here a plague swept through...the Black Death they called it. We managed to survive by isolating ourselves on a small island. Sadly though, we ran out of potatoes and everyone except me (being a god) died.

Ah yes... they were good days to be a warrior. I'm surprised Red Dog hasn't shared with you his past experiences in the field. He typically delights in story-telling! His encounter with the Yeti was much different than mine though... I think he broke the poor beasts heart, but (as is typical with Red) not until he "got what he wanted" out of the relationship, if you know what I mean

Them ? Oh they're just some berserkers pledged to me ...... useful sort of chaps to have around in a pinch but not that helpful in social situations
