When I went into the U.S. Army, the basic training camps were suffering from mononucleosis and pinkeye...
Nothing like bringing a bunch of teenagers together to test the ol' immune system.

I thought that was what kindergarten and school are for. 
Mononucleosis - that's quite a nasty disease. My friend's daughter suffered from it several times, that was a very straining time for all involved.
