Vaccines

The reason that the vaccine was developed so quickly is that it's almost identical to those used for seasonal flu. The strain of virus is different, of course, but the rest of the vaccine constituents have been tested and used for years.
I don't envy the people who make the decisions about which vaccines should be distributed. What do you choose - use the adjuvant and risk people avoiding the vaccine out of fear, or use the unadjuvanted vaccine which uses up more of the virus and means that fewer people can be immunised? That said, I don't understand the German government's decision to use a different vaccine for themselves and the army. Surely they must have guessed that it would worry everyone?
I hope your arm is feeling better.

Thanks, Aurora. I agree, seeing that the government chooses the vaccine without the adjuvans for themselves and the 'high animals' in the army was probably the straw that broke the camel's back. After all, if it is harmless, why wouldn't they use it themselves? It is the question people here are asking, and wondering about.
As for the rest - there is so much contradictory information out there that the average person can't find out what is right or wrong.
Experience here is, that the pharmaceutical industry will walk over dead bodies to make money. Our not trusting them is deeply engrained.
My arm was only sore on that day and during the night. It was much better the next day, and so far, I haven't had any side effects.
