Even with sun lotion available it's very difficult to cover all areas of skin... there's always patches left that get burnt. Yesterday it was my feet and patches of my legs.

Same here, but not skin cancer - it was caused by smoking, so I don't think that counts as inheritable.
But I still take precautions, as I don't tan, I burn.
