Bea, I think I should not worry. Personally, this is not my decade. If the list was for best albums *ever* then I would be flummoxed, as I have never heard of some of these musicians.

the evidence of having the Libertines on there suggests this is an NME type journo who thinks that by having a bizzarly fat and colourless face, Pete Dockety's troubles make him a tourtured genius rather than an out of control drug fiend who robbed his friends to get his next high

well, he was convicted of stealing from his band mate to feed his drug habit, so I'm putting that into my fact box
His face is also fat and colourless
Now, my opinion is that he is overrated and that it in generations yet to come, they will cite that Dockerty's face is the exact size and shape to be smacked with a fry pan to be proof of an inteligent designer behind all of creation !

Hmmm, if you're going to rule out any musician who's ever had a drug habit, or been convicted of a crime, or just not been a very nice person, you're going to shorten your list considerably!
Personally, I don't think the noughties have been that bad. Sure there's a much greater variety of genres, but I'm very happy to listen to Snow Patrol/ Kasabian/ Arctic Monkeys/ Kings of Leon/ Zutons/ Paolo Nutini..etc.
