*wanders in*
*for once decides not to comb through backlog*
Hey, is there anyone going that can print 'me' out?
(I'm perfectly willing to explain what that means, if Feisor and/or Cafram don't...)
Sydney Meet 13th April 2002
...Shrillian... Posted Mar 25, 2002
Sir EvilRoy - why can't you make it??
no more talk about cheesecake!!!! I can't control myself!!
*admits she went a bought one last night, and ate it all by herself*
hmmm.....hey, cheesecake - you said you lived in ryde? north? top? cause to get into the city, i have to go past top ryde, and i could probably give you a lift in......if you wanted it....then we could get lost together!!!
Sydney Meet 13th April 2002
Sierra Indigo - now Cheesecakethulhu flavoured Posted Mar 25, 2002
Top Ryde actually. Right off of Lane Cove road. I can walk to the Top Ryde shops in about five minutes. That'd be pretty cool if I could get a lift with you. It'd save me trying to haul a cheesecake via the public transport system

...Shrillian... Posted Mar 25, 2002
For cheesecake?? ANYTHING!!!
Well, i pass through there - from blaxland road and then left, past KFC, and then left onto Victoria road...so where the bus stops are would be good - we'll organise it a bit closer to the date (so that i actually remember!!)
as long as you don't mind riding around in a little 'bomb'!!

I can't get there because I don't return from Perth until late on the Friday night. I don't expect to have much money or many functioning brain cells left at that point.
Sydney Meet 13th April 2002
Sierra Indigo - now Cheesecakethulhu flavoured Posted Mar 25, 2002
Yep yep. We'll work it all out a bit closer to the date. And I don't mind riding around in a little 'bomb' *G* When you've got no car, anything's better than walking *G*

Feisor - -0- Generix I made it back - sortof ... Posted Mar 25, 2002
First of all an explanation - Amy (aka Paper Lady) has been to most of the recent meets even though she has never attended - she sends a paper facsimile of herself - so if anyone has access to the necessary devices required - your assistance would be much appreciated.
Sir EvilRoy - please try and make it - it's a nice cheap pub and brain cells are definitely NOT a requirement
Cheesecake - does that mean that I don't have to collect you at Central? May I suggest that you get the phone number of the Carlisle from the phone book in case you both get lost - It's a helluva place to find by car - maybe you can get directions from someone.
Sydney Meet 13th April 2002
Sierra Indigo - now Cheesecakethulhu flavoured Posted Mar 25, 2002
Yep, looks like you won't have to collect me at Central. Though I will get the phone number and DL a map or something from Whereis™ beforehand so we've at least got some idea of what's going on and where we are. I'm notorious for being directionally challenged, so we'll probably need them *G*

Sounds like a master plan. Don't worry - i am the Master of Navigation!! (I own a street directory. True, it's from 1998, but it hasn't fallen apart! - too much)
This sounds good....i get to get lost with someone, AND get cheesecake!! Now that i think about it, it sounds like a good idea to get lost! I get the cake for myself!!
I've got a good idea how to get there (looked it up on citysearch.com.au)....map and all!! Love this nifty thing called the internet!!
Come Sir EvilRoy!! Who cares about cash?? Cheesecake and myself are broke as well!!

It's all coming together *rubs hands*
How are you two going to recognise each other? Someone will have to wear a towel or something
BTW - be careful re the maps - Newtown has so many closed off and one-way streets it's an absolute getting anywhere!!!

Linus...42, i guess that makes me the answer... Posted Mar 27, 2002
I'm quite happy to give people the benefit of my local knowledge, if required. I seem to remember some people needing guidance by mobile phone last time...
Sydney Meet 13th April 2002
...Shrillian... Posted Mar 27, 2002
that sounds like a very good plan, actually - i think mobile numbers should be exchanged, in case of people getting lost, people not being able to identify people, and if i eat the cheesecake before we get there......
yay!! I'm so excited about the meet now!
for everyone!!!

Um, haven't decided the apparel, but something remotely 'clothy'
Oh, and don't worry about me recognising you - you'll have a big cheesecake!
