Can I add my thanks for all that you have done, advice and help to would-be contributors. Your efforts have been appreciated.
But
No word as to who will follow in your footsteps? It seemed when I read your farewell piece.
It is - I think - B'Elena (at least in the interim), and - if so - I'd like to be the first to welcome her here.

I'll learn who my successor will be when he or she is announced by the Post Team, PBS. That isn't my decision to make, I'm afraid. I look forward to welcoming the next editor as soon as he or she is announced, but I'm not prepared to pre-empt that announcement.
