If it was one of my ideas you can just forget it and move on.
Are we going to have any excursions to look at the great barrier reef?

Let's see. Take the Blood out into an area of wind, waves and reefs.
With Kes as navagator.
I'd love to swim about among the fish and coral but I would like my entry into the water to be voluntary.
We might be wiser to leave the Blood here on shore and explore in the Sikorsky.

*Grabs hold of a stanchion as the camels pull The Blood across the shell beach and towards the sea......*
No problem with my navigation ..... I took a bearing from the sun on the 4th .... got our position exactly ...
This is the head of the Spencer Gulf, and once we're in the water, we just turn to port ....
(That will be left hand down a bit, Helmsman ...)
After about 100 nautical miles we'll pass Port Adelaide, and then be in the Southern Ocean. Seeing as how the trade winds are Westerlies, I'd suggest another smart left turn (rather than sail against them) ... and then .... well, basically .... we should just try our best to miss Tasmania!

Hey! Is the sun supposed to do that?
Um, the camels just hit the water.... the drovers are dropping the ropes. OK! ON THE COUNT OF THREE EVERYBODY ON BOARD SHOULD RUN TOWARD THE POINTY END OF THE BOAT AND BOUNCE TOGETHER... that should get us into the deeper water.
ONE....

Yes brilliant work Kes. A quick skip through the Bass Straight and we'll have Sidney off the port bow in no time at all. Provided we make just one more course adjustment portwise after the Straight that is, elstwise it's Auckland for us.

Whats wrong with Auckland, there's more sheep & boats than people!!!

THREE!!!!!
GO!!!!!
*The entire ship's company that is ondeck rushes for the prow and the ship dips until the Figurehead is up to her eyebrows for a moment in seawater! In the next instant the Blood pushes out and once again is at sea! *
The camels aren't real happy... but we're floating again.

Unhappy camels? Have they got the hump?
Did someone mention a Bass straight? Don't mind if I do ....

they could carry us to a caravan serail, where we could wine and dine in large tents, watch the on the sky over the dessert and wake up under palms in an oasis

Alternatively, if we need fresh milk on a long voyage, you could always drom a dairy up .......
