Would you feel beter if I listed it as:
Blind Man's Buff/Bluff

Maybe listing both looks a bit cumbersome, I'd settle for a mention of the no-L name in your opening paragraph perhaps?
(Sorry I disappeared George but I had to switch off the computer while I slept, went to work, packed for my holiday and so on.)

But I'm an American and here we call it Blind Man's Bluff because a bluff is a lie and the blind person it trying to tell who the person he/she caught is, announce it ("You're Cheryl!") and if he gets it wrong, that's a lie. Also, the people caught try to bluff their way by making faces.

Edited Guide entries are supposed to be written in British English. Technically, the game is called Blind Man's Buff in England, but there are probably enough English people calling it bluff that you will get away with it. I think you should add a short paragraph about the name, mentioning that the original name was Buff and that it is still called this in the UK (and Ireland). That should be enough.

That is covered in a tasteful footnote. Thank you.

Although we alwys said 'bluff', I was aware long ago that that was a corruption of the real name 'buff', because Americans never heard of the word buff, or even, in most case, 'buffet'. Buff makes sense - you play by buffetting another player. Bluff makes no sense, since there is no bluffing involved, particularly on the part of the 'blind man'. But then changing things in a way that makes no sense is an American specialty (Hey I am one; I know). The reason most people know only one name or the other is probably because of the special ability of children to put anyone to the mock forever who varies in any pronunciation of anything. So some reference to both forms would seem a propos in an article on the game - it is an interesting fact that it has two names. I'm not a peer, just thought I'd comment (so, like a child who said 'buff' in America, I can be ignored and spat at until you are dehydrated).

I don't mind comments. I'm just waiting to be noticed by a scout.

I'm a no-L person myself.( Xmas version?)
Another game we used to play which was quite similar was "squeak piggy squeak".. which again involved a blindfold, then you had to sit on the nearest available person.. say "squeak piggy squeak".. and try to guess who it was from the resulting squeal. Depending on the size of the person doing the sitting.. and the comparative size of the person doing the being sat upon, this could quite often ended in tears.. and screams rather than squeaks. Never liked either game personally. Pin the tail on the donkey for me

Okay then, I think the world is better off without 'squeek piggy squeek'.
So tell me, where are you from?

Ah.. now.. there's a question.. Where are any of us from, and why?
I personally live in a big forest, surrounded by trees (hence the forest bit) lots of ponies, a smattering of cows, and assorted wildlife.. although, I hasten to add, I do have a house in it, I dont just live up a tree.. only sometimes, when me bucket's full!
