Do you like classical music and/or early jazz?

Early 80's..
Those heady days of high heel boots, lacey blouses and lashings of eyeliner.. and that was just the men!

I personally have been trying to forget the eighties. My wardrobe of 40's stuff reflects it. It also creeps out my friends. One funny thing is whenever I wear something really old fashion in New York, no one bats an eyelash. You ever been to New York?

Unfortunately not.. been to York a couple of times, very pleasant but lacking somewhat in the skyscraper department, which is no bad thing.

I've never been to England, or anywhere in Europe for that matter. Most of my family has, though. Wanna hear a funny story?

My cousin Jessica went to Manchester for a punk-wedding. While she was there she gave these Scottish Rockers spikey hair-dos.

So.. this cousin Jessica.. while at a wedding whipped out her scissors and proceeded to give spikey haircuts to theses two Scots rockers.. in the middle of the ailse..!??
I suppose that if you positioned yourself carefully above the organ pipes as the wedding march was playing.. (with hair gelled up in anticipation of course).. then the passing air would have the desired uplift on said hair, and create that crazy "just seen a ghost" hairstyle, once so popular with youths in binliners....??

Typical British summer.. lots of rain, flash floods.. interspersed with occassional days of intense burning sun. Cowes week now, big yachting reggatta thing, Went to watch them sinking yesterday( very windy day!) Big firework display tonight. I will have to hit the beach with a towel and a bottle of wine and watch it all go off
I LIKE firework displays!!

Who doesn't? The Fourth of July fireworks in NJ are interesting because each town does them on a different night, so you could be driving along, and suddenly *POW* the sky fills with green sparklies.

Let me get this right.. Each town does the fourth of July fireworks on a different night..?? Do they make up their own calendars then??
One would assume that the fourth of july fire works, being so called..would all take place on the same night??
I'm confused now..( it doesn't take much!)
