Gross. I am now so glad that it took me six days to find this post. How rank. How vile.

What?
* off to look at the b'log.... back*
No, no, love, I was SERIOUS!!! I did in fact go down to the gas station and fill up my car that morning... so I did in fact have enough gas to make it up there... <sorry if I offended you ...
So... erm... tell me... how difficult is it to get to England?

Awww, honey... it's not that hard at all. First you need to contact your friendly neighborhood post office (I typed that as pot office first... HAHAHAHAHA!!!!) and see if they distribute passports. They'll be happy to tell you where the nearest place to get a passport is.
That should set you back about $65 dollars. Your passport picture can be taken at the post office, but it's cheaper to have it done at Walgreen's or Wal*Mart. I must forwarn you about Wal*Mart... they didn't get close enough to me to take the pictures properly.
The passport takes something like 3-6 weeks to process, I THINK.
I recommend you spend another $25 getting what is called a Youth International Travel Card. It will have to be renewed each year, but it saves you significant money on all flights until you are 26. I saved about $110 on my flight to London, so the little card's paid for itself almost six times.
You can get a YITC at any STA travel office. The one I go to is in Denver. Or you can get information online and apply through snail mail, probably fax too: http://statravel.com/ You'll also want to book through these guys. Awesome deals.
YAY!!!
Can't wait to hear more...
