A Conversation for Previous Talking Points

Greetings...

I started writing a prospective guide entry on long distance relationships, but I felt it needed more imput. I've been given some suggestions, but I wonder whether the topic would be better served by a "Talking point" article? What do you think?

Best wishes

Otto

Hi Otto!

Talking Points are designed to be places for discussion, so they are not written up as entries. However, I think that this would make a great collaborative entry. I see that you have already been over to the Long-Distance Love Club to enlist their help.

I have suggested it as a Topic of the Week to Ashley and Sam. Topics of the Week are like a Talking Point but the conversations are condensed down to create an Edited entry.

Of course the other way of doing it would be to start a thread on Ask h2g2. Ormondroyd started one looking for a way to cure his writer's block and was given so much good advice that he turned it into a collaborative entry. It was on the Front Page this week - you can read the result at A701001

Hope that helps

Abi

Hi Abi,

Thanks for your comments. I think Topic of the Week is what I meant!

I'm going to have a go at producing it as a collaborative entry, as I've now found someone to write about the use of the internet in long distance relationships. This might end up spiralling into a much bigger entry, but I'll have a go!

Best wishes

Otto
