okay, okay.
if i *have* to narrow it down, i could cut my list in half- tho it *is* like cutting off my own arm!
the abridged list:
d'oh
rolling eyes
waving
king
princess
knight
dragonfly
musical note
dancing
flags
towel
baseball
pickup
ace,guru,scout,sub-ed
bleep
and i really do think the first one and the last one would get ALOT of use.
would any of these smileys be animated? (thinking of the rolling eyes smiley on e-z-boards when h2g2 was down.)

Princess Sugarfoot(Royally Enjoying an Algae Pizza Party with Hugo...) Posted Jun 2, 2001
I royally cast my own vote for the variety of fish, the music note, and the moon, as these will come in most handy when I hold my next ball at Sugarfoot Kingdom!!!
"Let us dance to the among until the descends!!!"
I suppose the could come up in lieu of the descending, but one can not disregard the intricate intimacy of the moon and the waves of the ocean...

Could I put in a request for a teddy bear smiley?
My Votes:
Spaceechik, Typomancer Posted Jun 3, 2001
Well, there are so MANY tempting choices! Firstly, I would strongly recommend the peace/olive branch/dove, as I felt a distinct need for it in a few recent threads!! (and how about a ;-D smiley, a wide-grinning wink, so to speak?)
Then, by category...
Emoticons: apology, curtsey, please
Characters: Hippie, space(wo)man
Creatures: Chicken, mouse
Food & Drink: soft drink, cookies, humble pie, vegetables
Music: radio, dancing
Miscellaneous: TOWEL, the aforementioned peace/olive branch/dove
Space (my personal favorite!): earth, moon, shooting star
Sports: fishing (for compliments), and yoga, if it's a choice.
Travel: bus, aeroplane
Body parts: brain
Words: bleep, ace, guru, muse, sub-ed
And, really, we NEED a TEA smiley! Douglas would approve!
Well, there's the lot -- I don't envy the people chosen to narrow this list down -- better that they remain anonymous, to avoid reprisals!
