Welcome!
Just wondering, what do you do that makes you so busy?

I'm a trumpet player, and this is the prime season for community musical theater groups to put on productions. I'm doing Anything Goes on the weekends, Victor/Victoria during the week, and after those two are done, How to Succeed in Business. I'm lucky to have met some really good contacts, and I am always grateful for the extra disposable income.

Somebody offered to sell me the Brooklyn Bridge, and I'm considering the offer.

And make sure they include the income from tolls ...

You're just piling on, now.
I would probably have to set up a secondary toll booth for motorists who wish to return to New York. The bridge would obviously become my very own commonwealth.

i wonder what it would be like to actually *own* the brooklyn bridge. anyone care to chip in?
or, better yet, the Alex Chaser College Fund is currently accepting donations, don't let a good mind go bad, instead send her to college so she can learn more effective means of parting you from your money...

It's kinda funny, but you ever notice that New Jersey doesn't charge for any of the bridges to get there ... but New York charges if you want to get back in ...

Why are New Yorker's so depressed?
They know the light at the end of the tunnel is New Jersey!

Isn't the Delaware Memorial Bridge toll on the NJ end? I can't recall.
Plus NJ charges enough with the Garden State and Turnpike, don'tcha think?

EZpass has backfired. We should ripp out all the tolls, sell them for scrap, and hope we can reclaim some of the money.

Sounds like fun, mind if I join you?
'Scuse me while I continue to sing, "I'm going to the meet! I'm going to the meet!" I'm very excited to be going . . . I think part of my success was reminding my dad that August third is my birthday and that he neglected to give me a Sweet Sixteen party last year. LOL!

I think we've inadvertantly created a a monster conversation: Toll/Birthday problems. What else can we tack on, as the thread isn't confusing enough?

Existentialism?
That should be enough to confuse everyone on hootoo (except Clive the Flying Ostrich who just got his BA in the topic)

a whole bunch of us earlier this year up and decided we didn't believe in Phil. it was great fun . . . the only person who wasn't amused was Phil. but since we didn't believe in him at the time, we didn't notice.
it was most interesting, of course, when Phil, himself, joined the club . . . though later on we did have a nasty time getting him to come out of the cabinet. (he decided that a person who didn't exist probably shouldn't be out where folks could see him, as he might scare someone, so he curled up in a cabinet and settled in with a turkey sandwhich and a bottle of Pepsi. apparently a person who doesn't exist can nevertheless get hungry.)
the math teacher thought it had something to do with the test we had that day, but i don't think so. see, i don't believe in math tests . . .
