As far as I remember from what they said on air, they had some ratingsystem, put together by radioairplay and amount of sold singles...(but I´m not sure...) one of the moderators thought that no.1 should be one of the 80ies songs, as that was the time teenagers had lots of money for buying singles and no internet access

coolness..............i was just listening to the Beatles White Album, disc 2.......i think my fave bit is the whole "number nine" chant, just for the sheer confusion it caused me did you hear the rumour that if you play the "number nine, number nine" chant backwards, you hear instead "turn me on deadman"?
