Well go on... tell me!
I need to write up the story of the meet-up and I want your contributions....

Actually - the pub running out of Tanglefoot within 10 minutes of us getting there probably saved me from that!

Trust Orcus to get here first!
Personally I was on all night. Was I the only sober person in the room then?

Three moments stood out for me;
-The Lord Moon pub being utterly silent, but being crammed to the rafters with deaf people talking through sign language. Surreal.
-Finding terminals at the BBC experience, and everyone's first instinct being 'ooh! Can you get h2g2 on that?'
-Bluebottle's weather report at the Experience, focussed entirely on the Isle of Wight (with a little 'help' from his glamorous assistant Peregrin).

My top memory? Actually having memories this time.
Being able to go up to people and saying I don't know your face, who are you? And then realising they are online friends was the best bit.
And fishing for compliments from Peta and actually getting them!

The kidnapping of Mark Moxon by the Thingites...

Wick Posted Jul 9, 2001
Well, I was sort of sober as I had to get a train home, but the thing that really sticks out (apart from the great people) was the food. And then the food. And then the food that came after that.
Pity there was no really.

I remember every one being worried that there wasn't going to be any more after the fist plate of sandwiches

Kidnapping Mark.
(To our surprise) Winning the quiz!
Meeting Shea and learning how to pronounce her name and then managing to get it wrong at every opportunity!
The chicken was nice.
Clive (Off to get the tube and then - home! )
