Welcome to h2 and the Astronomy Society.
I've added your name to the members list on A531019. You may find though that quite a number of researchers on the list are still out to lunch.
But... if you subscribe to

you may pick up any conversations that happen to come up from time to time.
If you like, you can copy/paste the code for the Soc. badges at the bottom of the members page, for use on your personal space.
Also check out GB's PS U128652 as you may well find quite a few astronomy angled convo's coming up there. (Waves to GB )
Perhaps you'd also like to let us know what aspects of astronomy you're most interested in and maybe start a journal of observations...
