A Conversation for Radiohead - The Band that gave a voice to Alienation

I have to say that I am obsessed with Radiohead. I quite enjoyed you're informativeness on them. Have you heard that Thom is now a Daddy? I find it quite...Hmm...The child will grow up Lucky.
Radiohead is one of the only...90's bands that have touched me. And where they touched me they left a mark.

I hadn't heard this about Thom being a daddy no...I can only wish him and his sprog all the best. At least the kid probably won't feel a problem with teenage alienation (he'll have to start listening to cheesy pop to rebel).
Anyway, I have to agree that radiohead are an amazingly profound band at times and they pretty much touch the soul of anyone's who's felt the pain of humanity (God I sound negative smiley - biggrin)

Imagine poor Thom's reaction when little Ethan (I think thats his son's name...ethan or nathan...can't remember right now)wants the latest Candy CD...ooooh my. hehehe good point!
Radiohead gives me hope...funny to say that since their music is seemed so "depressing". Depressing, whatever that means...What isnt depressing? Sigh...
Have you heard any of the Amnesiac cuts yet? I'm really diggin this new album so far (have stolen from napster) But i'm looking forward to seeing how they cut the tracks on the album. They've already made 2 videos for Amnesiac as well...for You and who's army? and Pyramid song.

I am really looking forward to Amnesiac, although I've yet to hear any of it myself. I heard that, in contrast to the publicity campaign surrounding Kid A (ie as little as possible), Thom says that the coming album (released June the 4th, the day before my birthday...yay), will be released in 'a whirl of press releases, interviews and live appearences' which I'm sure he's going to love smiley - winkeye. Interesting to see what will happen to this one, Kid A suffered a massive backlash for not being 'Radiohead' enough (which I deny completely) and got quite a bit of bad press (despite being one of the most original albums I've heard in a very long time). This one apparently provides a more complete picture of the missing 18 months after the OK Computer tour, and features more some more traditional Radiohead songs (whatever the hell that means). Then, according to an old interview with Q magazine, (the one preceding Kid A's release) Radiohead will stop releasing albums to favour more experimental methods of releasing material (suggestions being internet releases) or EP's. Who knows what the future holds (I'm sure it'll be great whatever happens).

I don't see how radiohead could come up with anything nonfabulous. I know a lot of people that only like the KID A album...and none of the others...Strange...I love them all...And ofcourse OK Computer...just ridiculously blew my mind...(you do know how they loosely based some of it on DNA's book yes?? i find that absolutely amazing...just another reason to love them more...) I've listened and recorded most of the entire Amnesiac album...and ofcourse i'm very happy with it. I'm glad that they run outside of the common lines. But yes...some of the songs are more "traditional". but the funny part is Thom doesnt sing on 2 or 3 of the songs. But they still sound 'radiohead" like to me.

Press releases eh? well well..i've read a few mag interviews he's done ( i won 3 spin magazine cover posters a few months ago...i was tickled...hehehe) and i think i know what mean when you say thom will "love" them...hehehe....oooooh my.
Have a safe day! (have you been to the "official" website?)

I have visited the official website...and quite a confusing experience that was smiley - biggrin. I was aware that Paranoid Android at least was some sort of homage to Marvin, and am very interested in anywhere you know of from where I can get said Amnesiac tracks from. I'm more than just a little interested. It'll be interesting to here some tracks without Thom's fantastic vocals... but I wonder if this means we get to hear the voices of the rest of the band...could be interesting non?

Congratulations!

Hello Jed smiley - cool

smiley - magicCongratulationssmiley - bubbly

This is a very good description of my personal favourite band.smiley - bruised (sorry if the smiley is un-PC but I couldn't resist.)
If you wish to add any song descriptions I could type them up for you.(although I've got too much studying at the moment I could get them fairly soon by using the unofficial fan books.)
I hope that the editors don't sacrilige the site with their own edits. It's just brilliant. The squirrels will be running scared.
Are you planning to do pages about any other bands? Nirvana? The Manics? REM? Please...

Amnesiac comes out three days after my birthdaysmiley - ok (and the same day as my psyc exam.) So I'm going to buy it to celebrate and spend the night in listening to it till 3am smiley - zzz.

Erm, I think there are already edited guide entries on the bands you mentioned..I think my next project will be the Super Furry Animals.. I love them.
Also, I already have a copy of amnesiac burned by a friend of mine who had it burned for em after downloading it fro aGerman Warez site. It's quite good,, with some brilliant Piano driven tracks (another departure for Radiohead) But I haven't listened to it enough yet to be able to add anything to my article I think. Maybe I'll do an update at some point..I doubt we'll have time to add song reviews or anything like that, but maybe we'll have time for that in the update..having said that..it's been recommended for ages now, and still no contact from the editors. Anyway, must go as I'm sitting in school and probably about to get in trouble soon....knowing me.
Thanks for the congratulations and adulations Bob, you sick sick freak smiley - winkeye

His son's name is Noah.
They made two animated videos for Pyramid Song, one by Shynola ([URL Removed by Moderator]) and another by Chris Bran ([URL Removed by Moderator]); and I don't think that they've made a video for You and Whose Army.

Hi,

I've heard that there is going to be two videos for each single (very Moby.) One for commercial channels (like Mtv) and a more alternative one thats harder to see.
I've heard that three singles are being released but that Knives out, I might be wrong and You and whose army where all considered? I want to see all of them (esp. IMBW). Just not fair.
I don't have cable anymore and can't see the videos now. Nooooooo! I've tried looking on the net but no-one has them and if you type the URLs here they remove them. The world is taunting me.
If you type them without the www or the com then they might stay.
Thanx.

Bob
