Sweet William was a Captain of the 60th Rilfes "The Loyal American RiflesA regiment formed during the American War of Indepandance. Sweet William is a career soldier who shows many battle scars, a horsehair wig, no teeth, facial scarring and an eye patch.
Sweet William proves to be a good friend and ally to Sharpe using his determination to get the job done.
