Wow! It's great to see so many new members! Please take a moment to check out the Petition for Greater Freedom on h2g2 at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A544943
This petition is likely to be the culmination of Zaphodista activity, so MAKE IT COUNT! Signing the petition is nice, but if you really want things to change, put some stamps on it and POST A HARD COPY to the address shown. They have said that they will take hard copies of the petition more seriously than signatures online, even though we have around 100+ signatures in the fora below that petition right now.

Speaking of gooey green gunk, I was slipping through the International foods aisle of my local supderdupermarket last night, looking for the better salsa made in Mexico, instead of the crap they sell in the potato chips (crisps?) aisle. (Yes, we have one aisle devoted to chips/crisps on one side and bread down the other. Scary.)
In the 1 m by 1.7 m (guessing) shelf space devoted to "British" foods, I noticed a can of Heinz "Mushy Peas." It's amusing that someone would go out of their way to get peas prepared "mushy" like they serve them back home. Even though we probably eat foods with the equivalent stuff in them (namely "pea soup"), somehow the word "mushy" has acquired an association that most Yanks would want to avoid when describing any food they still wanted to eat.
