h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I have an interesting conversation called 'Pervert!' going on at the moment; it's quite lighthearted and tongue-in-cheek. Discussing certain irritating narrow-minded journalists moved me to post the following:



The site in question is called Pinstuck. However, the problem is that I didn't post a URL! The line should have read, 'There's a site called Pinstuck which...' No URLs there. But it got removed anyway.

Usually when I need to make reference to a site that's not worth linking to from my Space, I (and plenty others) put 'It's at followed by a dot and a com' or similar. I've never seen this moderated. So what's so different about mentioning the name of the site? If this isn't allowed, are all other mentions of a site name (but not actual address) removed on the basis that someone could derive the URL from it?

Please explain...

I just typed Pinstuck in the URL bar, and it doesn't work. So the real address is probably something long and clunky...

Peta is away at present. I was under the impression that is ok to say my favourite website is redhotjazz as that is not a URL so it should not be removed.

However, I will get Peta to confirm this tomorrow.
