Lentilla, yet not Lentilla

Hi, Peta! I've managed to log on here from the computer at home, but it doesn't want to recognize me as Lentilla, for some reason...

I just got a message from the h2g2 editors that said that one of my posts had been removed because it contained commercial information. This is fine - but I can't figure out which post had been removed. My two articles (not the collaboration ones, but the real ones) still seem to be on my page, in both sections (edited & unedited). Can you tell me what's going on?

Thanks! - Lentilla (U144292)

Howdy - me again (myself this time.) I've finally figured out that the offensive item was the 'Bananas' article.

I've looked through it and found a couple of brand names, which I've removed. Is there anything particular that you can think of that I need to fix?

I know this is probably the wrong forum... I'm sorry to bug you here, and if this is the wrong place, could you forward it to the right one? Thanks! - Lentilla (Jennifer)

And halp me too!
That's exactly what I came here to say...
I had an email telling me that one of my postings has been removed because it contains a URL. But nowhere in the mail could I see *which* post! Well, I know it is http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/FFM63189?thread=100017&skip=40&show=20#p839624, but that's just my luck...
Blame it on my email program, but it's certainly not a good thing not to have that information! smiley - sadface

Btw, why has it been removed and not just had a "[URL removed by
moderator]" put in??? smiley - erm

I'll have to have a look at this individually Lentilla. Brand names should be okay, unless it was an ad. Let me go have a look at the page and I'll come back....

I've unremoved, it was hidden in error. It had a URL in it, but it shouldn't have been failed. Apologies Hugo. Fixed now though.

Lentilla it looks fine to me. You can put the brand names back too if you like. What exactly went missing? Are you sure that it wasn't just hidden and needed to be reactivated, everyone is having to reactivate their entries... ?

Peta -

I received an e-mail telling me that one of my posts had been removed, but it didn't tell me which one it was. I looked around my page (I'd reactivated it earlier) and finally figured out that the 'Bananas' article was missing from my edited list, but the other articles were still there. I never needed to reactivate any of the articles individually - was that necessary for some?

Since the two brand names weren't essential to the article, I think I'll go ahead and leave them out. Should I go ahead and resubmit it to Peer Review?

Thanks for your help!

- Lentilla

sorry for the late reply, Peta is on holiday. Yes you need to reactivate each page individually.

Brandnames are fine to mention, if in the context of an article. What you cannot reproduce are Brand logos which are trademarked. I will have a look at your Banana's article if that will help.
