Can I decide whether to be annoyed that you ended up racing after all, or happy that we won? Will whether mufflewhumps are given out or withheld hinge upon that decision?

IS that a hard decision to make?
Dont the lads deserve mufflewhumps for their sterling effort?

Can I invite all questioners over to N3 - where we can all get congratulatory, swap posting stories and get on virtual ?

Hadn't we agreed that we weren't going to race anymore? Should someone have told the thingites? Can we agreee once again that we're not going to race? And can one of the thingite questioners inform the rest of the thingites once we do?

Is it not possible that creating a new QO thread, QOII no less, might not be a good idea? Would this not drasrically increase download efficiency for those of us with slowisg modems?
MIght not the postings being back down in the lowly hundreds not also calm things down in terms of racing to be the first to 30kp?

Knowing this bunch? But isn't that a good suggestion? So who's going to do it? And will that person notify the rest of us?

is this not an excellent idea - the lag on posting earlier was a nightmare, and fun though it sometimes was, I was never much in favour of these competitions...er....right?

So, Clive, which suggestion are you agreeing with? The suggestion to stop racing, or the one to start up a fresh new 'Questions Only' thread?

Clive the flying ostrich: Amateur Polymath | Chief Heretic. Posted Feb 26, 2002
How to get rig of the forum lag?
is QO II not the solution?
Are the circumstances of our racing unlikely to be repeated down the road?
Are not the stragies of our two forums different that they inevitably lead to differing levels and intensity of postings?
am I not in agreement with GreyDesk to call a Truce and sort of work together as the two Officially largest forums on H2G2?
Does this not sound better?

Since it's lunchtime, and therefore I have nothing to do, should I start the new thread, and then post a link for everyone to use? How did I ever get chosen the voice of reason here, anyway?

Have I ever understood the voice of reason?
Will I not also be staying here and posting there also?

Will there only be a few brave souls to carry on in this thread untill such time as all the little dots on the side of the screen become to massive causing a black hole to start on my computer screen taking the computer out and most of my work with it?

Did we make it<?>
Can I congratulate everyone on a job well done<?>
Aren't I sorry that I missed it<?>
Does this mean I have to read the backlog on two QO threads, now<?>
Didn't it take me long enough to read it on just this one<?>

Won't it be considered a sign of weakness if we stop posting here and another thread gets longer?
