Hummm, I think DD33FF describes it best.
The best thing about my becoming a minister is that it's going to annoy my sister. We both have the same favorite colour.

How about a specific green? Erm, like jade or seagreen, khaki?, emerald green, lime green or the green green of grass of home?
The position of minister of skyblue pink is officially bestowed. I *shall* update the page soon
well, soonish...

Greetinks.
I would like to claim Ultraviolet for my Ministry - it may not strictly speaking be a colour, but it makes things look ace in clubs, and also reveals dandruff on a dark shirt. Hurray!
For dandruff on the scruff
Of your neck
And a smile that will glow
Just like heck.
There's a light - the greatest
You can get.
So three cheers for ULTRA
VIOLET!
I'm aware this needs a bit of work, but I am willing to take this on as part of my ministerial duties. Please to be considering my application.

Peregrin Posted Aug 9, 2001
Hiya Purplejenny, I've just realised that there's a whole ministry here which isn't properly listed in the Alabaster House! I've added all the new names that are on the page at the moment , hope that's OK.
Oooh and can I be the minister for shiny blue? Or is that cheating?

Can I be minister for pink with blue spots? And don't worry too much about the font - pink would do! Ok, here's the ministerial blurb:
Blue and pink, they are
quite the best, I think, and add
To life's variety.
(Okay, so I like haiku's) 8)

Hi all!
Peregrin - thanks for updading the Alabaster roster. I *meant* to get round to giving u an update list, but I've been kinda meaning to join the Procrastination Soc. but not quite gotten round to it yet.
Thanks twinkle for the UV badge.
Thats 5 new ministers, I think now - UV, skybluepink, shiny blue and blue with pink spots, and the green of nature - if my memory serves. Definately worthy of a page update. I'll get onto it tomorrow. Promise
Perhaps we can have a ministry party soon - theres enough of us to paint the town red / purple /green etc...
Thanks for the interest in colours people!
luv pj

I, Thorn Bush, (Total failure as a hermit) and (Keeper of Pet Peeves) hereby and
forthwith request the title of
((((((((Minister of Ultraviolet)))))))
Please find enclosed the obligatory (or not) poem.
Honey bees think UV's nice.
Black light posters cool as ice.
Grandma's dentures glow real bright.
Ultraviolet in the night.
You can keep your infra red.
Give me UV light instead.
There is one thing you should know,
it might make you sterile go.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Oh no!
How did I miss it?
Tragedy of tragedy, UV was awarded three weeks ago. No that's all right, I don't want a subordinate position. No, I don't have any other favorite colors.
Ho hum, Thorn bush is very sorry every one.
I guess I'll just slink back to my hole now.

Oh oh oh I know what I want!
Salmon
TA DA!!!!
Not quite orange and not quite pink.
nor tuna trout or even link
Goes real well with hunter green
best pastel I've ever seen.
Sad without my ministry
denied the color of UV
Happy with my salmon wish.
Bye, and thanks for all the fish.
Or is that just too cute.
Thorn
Oh BTW I would be more than willing to trade
Salmon for Ultraviolet.

hi guys, hi dancer, hi all the people I've been cruelly neglecting
Sorry about the delay, i shall tackle the backlog and neglect you no longer in a few days...
The ministry apologieses for the inconvience and refers all complaints to the Procrastination Soc.
This is a recorded message

Here it is in Merriam-Webster,
One entry found for colour. "chiefly British variant of Color". I did not know.
