::confused by Elly's last post::
Gin, good to see you back!!!
I'd like that url again; full addresses get moderated... HErrmmm... maybe you can send it to the h2g2muses e-mail at hotmail!!!
I'm confused really over how I allowed myself to be tricked for such a long time. I guess the hugs and kisses felt good enough for me to suffer the slings and arrows.
HMS is still up and running. There have been no new requests for our service, though... If you need the password to check that account, e-mail to the address at the HMS page, and I'll give it to you!!! YAY!!!

Hello again,
you can now find the link in the document A523540. Look for LRN (Link Reference Number) 2000-03-22.001
I am sorry that it has to be this complicated, but that's the way the guide is now...
Cheers,
-Gin

Just click on Preferences (if you have classic goo, that's one of the buttons on the left.) Then a form will open up where you can edit your name...

Shea the Sarcastic Posted Mar 22, 2001
Hi! I'll hop in with this one:
Use this code, and change the "A" number to the page you want to refer to, and change the type to the type you want you link to reflect:
Visit the Musehome!
If it's a Named Entry, here's the code:
GuideML Clinic
The POPUP code is telling it to open the page in a new window. In fact, you might want to pop over to the GuideML Clinic. There's lots of copying and pasting to be done there!
HTH! And knishes to all!

Shea the Sarcastic Posted Mar 22, 2001
Just copy and paste the whole line:
Visit the Musehome!
Then replace the URL (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A420661) with the one you want to use, and change the type here at the end:
Visit the Musehome!
Put in your type - something with a description of what the link is. Got it now?

Sorry, keep that in there! Just change the type in front of it.

Thanks! I love getting all these knishes, but I'm beginning to feel a little bloated ...
And if I didn't know HTML, there's no way I could have figured any of this out!

You are quite welcome! The key to coding in the online world is lots of cutting and pasting!
I'm feeling generous today: Knishes on me, everyone!

Well, when I look out my window I see gardens as well ... and next door's greenhouses ... and the pool with the yucky cover on it full of dead leaves ... and the fishpond looks pretty dejected, too ... and the bare trees ... and the empty birdhouses ... and the bare flowerbeds ... and the empty bathouse ... *sigh* I need Spring!
P.S. I'd need a telescope to see NYC! - and that's the way I like it!
