Yipee!
Thanks dragonfly, I should get off and make suitable changes to my user page (I will try not to get too complicated) and name (whilst trying to avoid contemplation) before I contribute further.
ab, my apologies, I should be more understanding of the trauma it must have caused you, feel free to discuss it if it helps. But if you would be so kind as to furnish me with the location of the discussion so I can keep a suitably wide berth I would appreciate it
re the teapot, if it does a good job with herbal I could be interested. It would be an excuse to dust of my favourite Liberachie (I have no idea how to spell it) outfit.

Libberaci, I think, is the right way, JAVAM. Enjoy yor teapot....
Speakin' of bad parenting- AB, you should help me and Muppet constitute our support group. I know it's meant for tidy people, but hey- some needs are more urgent. Are you married?! That really takes off some of the wild persona you put on! Your wife should be like Lennon's Cinthia- always hidden from sight...

The teapot is being sold for a good cause-- to raise money to build a school for all the little muses... Does herbal tea mean anything by comparison!??

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Apr 5, 2001
I need some help from the Muses. I've got half a bottle of white wine in the fridge which has been open a few days, so I want to cook with it. Has anyone got a good recipe I can put some of it in? A fish recipe would be preferable
Fishy wine or winey fish

Try going here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/search.shtml
and doing a search for "fish wine" - it comes up with several you could have a look at. I don't like fish much, so I can't help you evaluate them

Thanks Muppet, I'll go there right now
*Thinks* I wonder if one of the BBC's own url's will be removed by a moderator?

Easy recipe:
Take some salt water fish. Whatever you like. Best to by fresh, but frozen does the trick as well. Let's assume you have a filet.
Dry the fish with napkin or towel and turn (?) it in flour. Add some salt. Heat olive oil in frying pan. Put fish in and fry on both sides. Only turn the fish around once. (The more often you turn it around the more likely it is to break into pieces.) Add some herbs. Whatever you like.
When fish is done, take it out of the pan and put it in oven with low heat. Just to keep it warm. (If you're quick you can leave that out) Heat up the oil. Pour some flour into the hot oil and stir so that oil mixes with flour. Then add the wine. Let the water boil out until the sauce has the "density" you like.
Decorate the fish on a plate (maybe next to some rice) and add the sauce.
Enjoy it. Cheers.

Sounds good, and very easy too - a big plus as far as I'm concerned It was very easy to follow too. A good tip for anyone cooking fish (any meat really, but especially fish as it cooks so quickly and spoils so easily) is to keep at the temperature you are going to serve it at. For instance. Cooking a fillet in liquid in an electric skillet is an ideal method, because you bring the liquid to a boil first (I normally use evaporated milk plus seasonings), and then reduce the thermostat to 140F. Once the fish is in, it takes about 20 minutes to cook, but you can keep it there for hours, and it won't overcook . Trust me, it works. You have to keep the lid on so that the liquid doesn't all evaporate, but if you let just enough of it cook off..... voila! Ready made sauce.

Well Lady E, after all that talk of fish, I decided to go with a vegetarian pasta recipe I found online, but it needs tomato sauce, and the best tomato sauce recipe I've ever discovered and made calls for some white wine, so at least I got the booze in And you're welcome to a plate of this stuff when I've made it

Evil One-- Muse or oragami, eh!!?? What qualifies you!??
And Zalisander-- Thank you for dropping by. The position of Muse of Confusion has all ready been taken. You could go for the Muse of What!? Who!? Where!? How!? and Why!?, though...
I really need to put the Codes of Museship at the top of this page so I won't have to answer that all-important query regarding Museship.... Being a muse means that you are expected to visit ares around the Musehome, and become acquainted with at least a few of your fellow muses.... You get friends and a great little title!!!
