Omigod - I *know* Rob Eastaway! I've seen him play many times (though I've never seen him bowl a googly...)

I didn't know about the googly book (though it doesn't surprise me). I think we've got a copy of one of his others ("Why Do Buses Come in Threes?") somewhere.
Oh darn darn darn.

Ok, as I've been pipped to the post on "What's A Googly" , I've changed the title.
For the moment, I've gone for "Bails, Ducks and Yorkers" as those three terms seem to:
a) be a bit quirky
b) relate to very different aspects of the game, and
c) make a fairly nice sounding triplet.
Any alternatives welcome!

Yes, nice choice. Personally I'd have been tempted to go with some laboured pun involving the terms 'silly mid off', 'handling the ball' and 'middle stump', but this is your article.

I have to say, this is looking like a really first-class entry now. I really look forward to seeing it on the front page.
Makes me feel like doing a version for rugby too.

Ooh, yes. Do a rugby one! You could call it "Nice Tackle" (Or maybe not...)
Thanks everyone for your very kind comments The only problem is... how can I possibly live up to them if I do another entry?

The Guide seems to be woefully short of Rugby entries, of either code. It goes straight on my to-do list.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
