Flying can be fun if you know what you're not all that good at, which in my case is the actual taking off, flapping wings, soaring, and landing parts.

Try flying with your face to the sky. It's like a backstroke and helps you not pay attention to the ground below you. Of course, avoid looking directly at the sun, and wear sunscreen. Or just fly at night.
