"I didn't want to go too indepth about Baden powell himself as I don't know a lot about him other than his connection with Guiding"
"I know this but the entry is about Lord Baden-Powell hence there not being much referance to the other two"
Hmm. I'm starting to have some difficulty here, MP. The above are both responses you've made. It seems to me that you're going to have to put in a short biographical note about B-P himself, along the lines of what I suggested earlier. It needn't be "great depth"; just a couple of sentences.

I think this entry would work much better if you turned into either a) 'The birth of the Scouting and Guiding movements' and did a lot more research (you are a researcher after all!) about the birth of Scouting, or b) a biography of Baden-Powell, and did a lot more research into his life, and just made mentions of Scouting and Guiding. As it is, I don't think it really works as it makes you ask more questions than it answers.

I think the first para needs simplifying: >
Lord Robert Baden-Powell was born on the 22 February, 1857. He was the son of an Oxford Professor of geometry, was educated at Charterhouse, and saw military service in India, Afghanistan and South Africa. He achieved military distinction for his defence of Mafeking (October 1899 - May 1900) during the Boer War.
B-P, as he is affectionately known, is is of course, best known for founding the Scouting movement and, with his sister Agnes, being the co-founder of Girl Guiding.
During his service in the army, Baden-Powell conceived the idea of setting up an activities organisation for boys.

This sentence also needs simplifying slightly:
"He had started to gather information for a book on army Scouting, during his time in army service. When this was published, because Lord Baden-Powell was already quite famous, the book became a best seller".
>Baden-Powell had started to gather information for a book on army scouting, during his time in army service. By the time this was published, he was already a national hero, 'the hero of Mafeking', and the book became a best seller.

I understand that the entry is about LBP -- my problem is that the entry gives the false impression that he was the one primarily responsible for getting Girl Guiding up and going, and that is very far from the case.
And if the entry is going to be primarily about LBP, then I think it really needs to focus much more on his role in Boy Scout history -- think of it this way, it was really through his role in Boy Scouts that he had an impact on Girl Guiding. Skimming over that context gives readers a very confusing impression.

Just to add that when talking about the history of guiding in the country (England) Lord Baden-Powell gets the credit at he started the ball rolling as so to speak, Agnes and Olave are considered as carring on "that part" of the work as so to speak. Same as more credit goes to Olave's work within guiding rather than Agnes's
