Hi guys, so what's this leisure district site - it seems a lot of newcomers around here are talking about it? Has it shut down or something? Did you know this site shut down due to bankruptcy earlier in the year The BBC bought it and saved it!
If you want to see some of the best places to go on site I have a help page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A543791 that might be of some use

Orcus Posted Sep 3, 2001
We're not falling out Just a wee jokey - unfortunately you seem to have fallen foul of the moderation system here - unfortunately you can't post URLs outside of the BBC's website in the forums here. You can post them in article however so a good workaround is to create a links page and just post a link to that in the forum

Hello Researcher 184533
If you need any help finding your way around, just ask . I recommend Orcus' welcome page - he put a link to it up there somewhere.
*points upwards*
A good thing to do at this stage is to write a few words in your personal Space - don't worry too much about which words because you can easily change them later on.

A warm welcome to all! I hope the fact that a few people could be a**ed (<- self moderation!) to say hello has got the message that h2g2 is a generally welcoming and pleasant palace. (Meant place but left palace in there - it's just about worthy of that). The best way to get to know h2g2 is to do exactly what you're doing right now!
Whoami?

Sonic Salamander Posted Sep 27, 2001
well no one has bothered talking to me yet but maybe thats because I'm a Bowie fan. Everywhere I go it's like a stigma. It's like
Person:hi,
Me:hello,
Person: what type of music do you like?
Me:I like David Bowie
Person:okay
End of conversation. Person walks off forever thinking I'm slightly weird being that I'm only 17. Anyone else get that with other Bands or Musicians? Or is it just me?

Amy the Ant - High Manzanilla of the Church of the Stuffed Olive Posted Sep 27, 2001
Hello
You are not alone in your appreciation of David Bowie. One way to find other researchers with the same interest is to type David Bowie into the advanced search http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Search
But before you do anything else, edit your personal space so that it says something about you. One sentence will do - you can change it later. By writing something in your personal space you enable other researchers to come along and leave friendly messages.
Have fun on h2g2 .
