Cabinet Discussion: Christmas Party

Oh I could do that, and I can make festive jelly and eat it and then tell people how nice it was
Advent Candles are fun as long as you don't forget about it, wander off and then leave it burning for too long and melt many days at once...or if you leave it in a draft then it has a tendency to go lopsided and you end up with half a christmas day and half a december the 11th...

The Ministry of Wisdom, Linux & Toothbrushes will be providing a selection of Sushi from the Sushi Bar (which is currently closed for refurbishment). We will also be providing live music in the form of a band of adorably cute penguins, who will be playing a selection of jazz, and we can also provide a chamber orchestra, a string quartet and a couple of chamber choirs, as well as a six-hundred-penguin choir who are very impressive indeed, especially when backed up by the eight-hundred-penguin orchestra (which is rather loud...)
Which would be suitable?
Oh yes, there are penguin jugglers, acrobats and emergency dentists in case anyone damages their teeth chewing on Fruit Pastilles or something.

Sounds excellent
If you have music then can you have a button or link or something to start it instead of playing it in the background. Unless you can find an incredibly cheesy Christmas carol MIDI or something, which I can shove in the background on a continuous loop to annoy everyone!

Hmm... the menu for the Ministry's Christmas Catering (we're also doing the Christmuse Dinner) is available at: http://www.h2g2.com/A482122
Any suggestions gratefully received. It's a bit short at the moment.

Oops... I meant to get this party ready by the first of December...
Ah well.
Bleargh, this stuff tastes horrible.

MaW Posted Dec 1, 2000
What stuff tastes horrible?
Don't worry Peregrin, we can always turn it into a Millennium Party.

Maybe he meant the sheepish gin?
Cabinet Discussion: Christmas Party
Peregrin Posted Dec 2, 2000
No, I meant some stuff I was drinking.
Um.

Peregrin Posted Dec 2, 2000
Erm, some stuff. I bought it for a party ages ago and had some left over, so I've been trying to get rid of it since. Unfortunately nobody in my house likes it.

Yes, I think this party sounds like a good idea.
Do you think I should open a Ministry of Pointless Statements, and start employing Pointless Staters?
