Tyrian Purple

About that Tyrian purple made from mollusk shells......Notice how many people have trouble with blue and purple differentiation? It's distinctly possible that it was more of a blue colour. However, we can't know because that particular mollusk is extinct. The dye was also used for tallit (Jewish prayer shawls). Ask your nearest rabbi for more details.
