This is a much-needed Guide Entry... perhaps it is still a little empty... but worth a look-over!!! THANKS!!!

There's lots of useful stuff in this, but it does not stand on its own as an Edited Guide Entry. You'll need:
An introduction
Removal of all references to individuals. It should be written in the third person, not "I find". Remove the references to "Gnomon says". Not that I'm shy, but it should be "one useful aid is...".
Removal of smart comments
A bit more content

Unless you've already edited it out...I saw nothing in here that I considered too "smart". I find nothing wrong with well-placed sarcasm and understatement, as long as it isn't overdone.
I've also seen the EGBDF mnemonic: Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. But I'd never seen Easter Bunnies Get Drunk After Easter, I like that one alot.

It's much better now, but still has "Gnomon, our Circle of Fifths Researcher ..." and "I have found that ..."
Good Work!

Ok, ok ok... You don't even LIKE the "Gnomon, Our Circle of Fifths Researcher" bit!??
Is that something that has to be prevented alltogether, referring to another researcher who helped you with your article!??
Oh... I learn something all the time...
... and should hopefully return to revising my recently submitted entries...
By the way!!! My first guide entry to be submitted was done so... hermmm... a few months ago, and it has said "recommended" by it for a month or two... now I no longer have a link to edit it with!!!
While I am in this forum, with the aid of not one, but two helpful researchers... I thought I would take the opportunity to ask what that might indicate...
Thanks!!!
And The "Easter Bunnies Getting Drunk" phrase came from my guitarist!!! Cracks me up!!!

I think if you don't have a link to edit an entry with, it means that it has reached a sub-editor. Once the sub-editor is finished with it, it will appear on the front page. Take a look at the entry, is there another name below yours? If so, that's your sub-editor. If there is something you absolutely feel needs to be changed in the entry, you can contact them and let them know.

Dragonfly, I love seeing my name in print, and thanks for putting me into your article. But I think the editors try and keep all the Edited Entries looking the same and one way they do this is to remove individuals from them.

THANKS Gavroche!!! I shall make friends with this Sub-Editor... Ooooo.... new friends!!!
Sooooo.... if a lucky researcher was friends, Gnomon, with someone smart and clever and creative, that researcher friend could STEAL the smart clever and creative person's ideas!!!
We do NOT like this!!!
Tis like cheating!!! Tis like plagarism!!! TIS plagarism!!! ::shudders to think::

If a researcher gets a significant enough amount of help from a fellow researcher in creating an entry they can share the credit on the entry. You will find several entries where there are more than one researcher listed under the heading: researchers.
At the bottom of the entry make a note the names of the researchers who assisted you in the creation of the entry, and the sub-editor will probably move those names to the researcher box. (you should get permission from the researcher first.) I wouldn't include those who have helped with grammar, structure, etc, but primarily those who have helped with significant content.

My words are stuck in temporary limbo!!! It's kinda neat...!!!

nice entry... I loved "six-stringed music-demon"... It seems fairly complete too - though I don't play, so I wouldn't know...

Okapi,
Guitar strings are numbered with 1 being the highest in pitch, 6 being the lowest, so it makes sense to remember the names in the order EBGDAE.
Another mnemonic for the lines on the treble stave is "Elephants Go Backwards Down Fire-escapes".

I just enjoy looking at things backwards ! What about Bass guitars; or mandolins; or, eeek!, 12 stringers!?
