Florida Sailor All is well with the world Posted Aug 22, 2014
I might be travelling the farthest, but most of my knowledge about the City comes from a precocious Toddler and her Fantastic Big Brother
I am sure any place chosen will be enjoyable and I am planning a few days to explore under less formal circumstances to do some of the tourist things.
The IWM sounds interesting, provided the crowds for the new WWI exhibit aren't too large.
Hope to have my itinerary ready by the end of next week

Ha! I was going to say glad Herself and Big Brother are beong helpful, but on second thoughts...
Actually, with my mummy blogger travel guide hat on, the IWM is probably at its least busy in Sept - the school trips won't have started and most parents will be fed up to the back teeth of museums after the summer holidays. I suppose that might mean that everybody else makes a dash for the place, but hey ho, it's been open for a while now, so I think we might be good.

Nah
Late Lunch and 3 pints, thereby making it a proper lunchtime. I was on my way back from Island Gardens after watching the tall ships depart.

Ah, that reminds me of the good old days when we would sail to London and pull our longboats up on The Strand

Just read your last 'Kidding' Blog about Thomas and Jayne Carlyle's House
If you like I can probably give you a tour of an 18th century town house about 3 blocks north of the British Museum. It might turn out to be a bit of a dive, but they claim to have decorated the halls as an art gallery and have a tropical garden building in the rearhttp://www.garthhotel-london.com/. I will let you know more when we meet

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Sep 22, 2014
Looking increasingly unlikely I'll be able to make it now funds, finances, and time, and things conspiring to conspire against me.... there is still a slim slim chance, that I alone, wihtout William may make it, in which case I'd be dashing back to Kings X for a late train home (saving hotel expense thereby) but... not sure yet... sort of ment to be saving really, ATM, due to soon changinging living arrnagements and exciting thins, and stuff happening soon

Oh.. please do Its just... even adding up the without the hotel its a lot of dosh really, (esp compaired to my nearly abscent income), and, potentially only for a very few hours actually being there (as I'd need to off early, to get a train home) Plus.... with the at the moment, I'm kinda trying to cut back, and save up, for getting stuff organised for William moving in, which will entail a period when my income gets even lower for a while, when lodger goes, which is also the period I'll be paying lots and lots of < for a new kitchen, new flooring throughout the house, painting and decorating and stuff err... what day is it... Wednesday... yeh... looking really unlikely I'll even make a flying visit, even the train and taxi cost, is like a weeks money for food for me now Unles.... I'll have to think

That's a shame, 2legs. Haven;t seen you in ages. Still you know where we'll be.
Oooh, FS, that place looks great! We shall indeed have to contrive something. If you are still doing your central London thing on Sunday? But as you say, we can discuss it when we meet up. Not long now!

what time would people be in Shakespears head, just in case... Like I get at a lose end... and suddenly... dash off to the rail station without any foresight planning or anything... err.... rather like I've always sort of done Hmmm.... actually if I do some maths... err nah, can't even remember the train ticket price now, must go check... just... in case... then just a few cabs, and as I'm now an I can probably just drink water in the pub, err... yeh... or something
