This is the Hampshire Meet-Up

That's OK, I'm not a father. And my father thinks that Father's Day is a conspiracy by greetings cards manufacturers, so I'm let off.

I thought June 23rd was Nephew's Day....
But why change the date, why not bring your Dad along, or just send a card or something...

Just when I thought we had everything arranged.
I'm in favour of chosing a definate date & time now - if we keep changing our minds, then no-one will know when to book train tickets / days off work etc., and in the end, a very small number of people will be able to go.

This is the Southampton Meet-Up 26th June
Bluebottle Posted Apr 19, 2002
Okay - so we have a time and a place: Southampton Library (opposite Watts Park) at 3pm - and once again, if anyone needs help finding it, I can meet anyone from the station.
If it rains we'll have to organise an inside meeting place.

If the weather is miserable, we could meet at the library then retreat to Leisure World (not quite as exciting as it sounds, but it does have pool, air hockey, a bar, etc)

Under 18s are allowed in Leisure World, just not up onto the raised platform that is the bar.
If you can think of somewhere more interesting than Leisure World do say so, because it's fairly limited in interest.

If the weather is typical of the British summer we can always take cover in any of the local KFC's, McDonalds, Burger King, Debenhams, Libraries, Games Workshops, Pubs (under 18's will be excused of buying rounds), Bus shelters, Electronics Boutiques, Record Shops (I've still got to find an "Aquabats" album), Southampton does have a lot to do!(honest)

We could always hop on the bus down to my work and throw sacracstic comments to the townies outside my woirkpace before walking round the shop and not actually buying anything.
