It's strange how mind associations work. The reference to hairloss in the above brought to mind something I vaguely remember reading from twenty odd years ago by John Donne. Addressed to the male it is possibly the complete antithesis of the earlier offering.

Thy sinnes and haires can no man equal call,
For as thy sinnes increase thy haires doth fall.

Sort of puts us in our place doesn't it?
