a simple man's simple poem about his simple dreams

hi there
i had these ideas that i thought i might share, so i wrote a poem about them. i deliberately worded it as simple as possible, because these thoughts are very simple and common and should therefore not be to pretentious, i thought
bu what do you think? is it too simple, too corny?
I believed father time stole away all our dreams
But some of them still are with me, it seems
I still dream of love, of riches and freedom
And health that will last till my hour has come
What more could one dream of?
What more could one want?
The health of ones children of course – and their love
Future grandchildren still is a want
But what kind of future for them may there come?
I can only hope that time has in store
A future as good as today - and more
Not as bleak as it seems it will shortly be
But as bright as my childhood,
when dreams came to be

Not corny at all.
Simple can be best by far.
Whoosh! Time rushes on.
