We're happy and probably healthier than most because we don't kill ourselves over-achieving.

That's very true ox, but the last minute rush trying to complete something that's been put off can be pretty stressful. I guess the answer is that with our way, the stress is sandwiched between long periods of calmness and serenity and doing what we want to do, and is offset by the fact that we know that we do our best work under pressure, and also that Peaceful Earthling's theory means that we're probably doing it as well as we possibly could

I don't know about any of you, but I think this is a way of life that we all started long ago, and I don't think I could imagine things any different. That's not a bad thing, [see last posting]. Although it has lead to many a row with my father, who doesn't understand... Ah well, I've lived, right?

Okay, so I'm therefore putting off going to Spanish until... I can speak fluent Spanish and therefore ace the course! Yes, it all makes sense now! Hurrah! I can sleep in!

Only if I can put off tommorow's Physics exam.

This is the one flaw in Peaceful Earthling's theory - it only works in instances where you have control over the timing, where there's no schedule or deadline. However, as I mentioned a few posts ago, procrastinators seem to do their best work under pressure, and I know that you're all going to ace those exams and tests

Pressure? It was only Philosophy........I decided to go in the end, just for the fun of it.....what sort of Physics, Dan? The last lot of Physics I did was Quantum Physics last semester....lots of fun....

It's only classical physics, and mostly stuff I did in high school. The midterm is notoriously hard, but if I bomb it, there is the option for it to not count towards my mark.

If only that applied to *all* assesment and you could just give yourself a final mark that you thought to be fair....

Y'know, maybe we should add a sun lounge or a gazebo. Somewhere to take in the late evening rays, perhaps with a martini or a g+t, or just a nice cuppa if that's what you prefer. Somewhere to relax with the crossword, or a good book, or I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, or some friendly conversation with other procrastinators. Ah, I can see it now. If only I could find enough things to put off in order to have the time to build it.

Maybe that's the beauty of it, Gosho. Add a piece here and there as comfort dictates. Surreal-surround so to speak.
