Hey! I see you've got the Emperor Piano concerto (Beethoven - concerto 5) on the repertiore, and no pianist,...
So far, I can get about half way through the first movement (a bit on the slow side) with not too many wrong notes. What I lack in skill, I make up for in enthusiasm.

Any hope as a soloist? ....
Maybe for the rehearsals? ....
I did page turn it once at a real performance .....
I could polish the piano .... ?

I'm a cellist, a page turner, and a lighting designer . . . while the lighting and the pages are better than the cello playing, I'll join . . . IF you remove the Elgar from the repertory (I am not worthy!)

With the Elgar 'cello concerto, you are up against impossible opposition, I agree ... but you don't have to be Pablo, or Jacqueline to give it a go ......otherwise, how about his Serenade for Strings ... nice 'cello part there!

P.S. If I get my hands on the Steinway, I'll need a page turner ...

Can I join - I pride myself in being an excellent second violin. It's were I feel most comfortable. A conductor recently made the mistake of promoting my to first. I felt a bit disorientated. Not by the music - I could manage that - I was just a bit thrown to be sitting right at the front in full view of the world after all those years of sitting in various second violin sections.
Still room for another fiddle?
